11/1/2011   The Court has abolished the examination requirement for becoming a member of the bar of this Court and replaced it with a requirement for attendance at a seminar sponsored by the local chapters of the Federal Bar Association at each location of court.  The rule amendment is effective immediately and can be viewed under the General Orders tab on this page.  Comments should be mailed to the attention of James Bonini, Clerk of Court, United States District Court, Southern District of Ohio, 85 Marconi Ave. Rm. 121, Columbus, Ohio 43215 on or before December 1, 2011.  
     
11/1/2011   The United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio invites public comment on the changes to three local rules which are to be adopted by the attached proposed General Order regarding False Claims Act cases, initial filings in civil cases, and participation in pretrial conferences by prisoner litigants. These changes include modifications to forms and procedures to prevent or limit disclosure of personal information contained within documents filed with the court. This personal information includes social security numbers, names of minor children, financial account numbers, birth dates, and, in criminal cases, home addresses.
