Filing Hours:
The Court shall be in continuous session for transacting judicial business on all business days throughout the year. The Electronic Case Filing System (ECF) is available 24 hours a day.
The Office of the Clerk shall be open for filing from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the locations of court, which are: Columbus, Cincinnati and Dayton.
Filings in civil cases, including new complaints or other initiating documents, may be filed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in ECF. The court encourages electronic filing of new civil actions.
Emergency filings, which cannot be made electronically, before or after normal business hours, will be permitted. The attorney of record for any party needing to make emergency filings, between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m., weekends or holidays, may telephone the Clerk’s Office main number and choose the emergency filing option. The telephone system will contact a deputy clerk who will, in turn, return your call to assist you with your emergency filing. The Clerk’s Office main numbers are: Columbus-614.719.3000; Cincinnati-513.564.7500; and Dayton-937.512.1400.
The Clerk’s Office should also be contacted if an electronic filing requires emergency action.
