Ohio State University, BA 1962. Ohio State University College of Law: J.D. summa cum laude, 1962.

Appointed to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, November 17, 1986.

Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

Member: Columbus Bar Association.

Engaged in the private practice of law, specializing in civil litigation 1962 - 1986.

Author and lecturer on trial practice, tort law and civil procedure, former member and chairman of the Ohio Board of Bar Examiners.

Activities and interests include mentoring-tutoring inner city youth; collecting artifacts and documents of the American Civil War; and, restoring/maintaining vintage sports cars.
