BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH:
Magistrate Judge J. Gregory Wehrman was born in Covington, Kentucky.  He received a B.A. from
University of Cincinnati and a J.D. from University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law
in Lexington, Kentucky.

Judge Wehrman began his legal career as a public defender and worked for many years in his family’s
law practice as a lawyer and partner.  He was appointed as a part-time magistrate judge in 1975 in
the Eastern District of Kentucky and in 1991 was selected to fill a full-time magistrate judge
vacancy in the District.  In 2019 Judge Wehrman was appointed as a part-time recall Magistrate
Judge in the New York Western District and in 2022 as a part-time recall Magistrate Judge in the
Southern District of Ohio.

PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS:

Kentucky Bar Association; Northern Kentucky Bar Association; Federal Bar Association and Federal
Magistrate Judges Association.
