Electronic Access and Service of Restricted Documents

Effective immediately, the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts has implemented enhanced security for restricted documents.  Restricted documents are no longer available in CM/ECF or via PACER.   Because restricted documents filed in CM/ECF will no longer be accessible or viewable electronically, service cannot be accomplished through CM/ECF.  Service of said documents must be performed by other appropriate means as provided by the Federal Rules of Procedure. A party with the right to access a restricted document can still request a paper copy by contacting the Clerk’s Office in the appropriate seat of Court.  Applicable fees will apply.  The Court’s current fee schedule is available here.

Fake Ticket Website Warning!

Important Notice  for Individuals Attempting to Pay a U.S. District Court Violation Notice On-line: A fake website is currently impersonating www.cvb.uscourts.gov and may attempt to collect personal or financial information fraudulently. The only official website for paying a U.S. District Court Violation Notice is www.cvb.uscourts.gov. If you are paying online, please verify the web address carefully and report suspicious activity to the Central Violations Bureau (CVB) at 800-827-2982 or info@cvb.uscourts.gov. Alternatively, you may pay a ticket over the phone by calling the CVB at the same number.

Jury Scam Warning

ALERT: People are being targeted by phone call, email, and messaging scams threatening them with prosecution AND requesting money for failing to comply with jury service. The scammers threaten recipients with fines and jail time if they do not comply. They are also using certified mail to appear more legitimate. These communications are fraudulent and are not connected with the U.S. courts.
