Holiday Closure

The United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio will be closed Thursday, December 23, 2021, and Friday, December 24, 2021, in observance of Christmas.

Coronavirus Announcement

UPDATED September 30, 2021

Visitors to the Potter Stewart U.S. Courthouse in Cincinnati, the Joseph P. Kinneary U.S. Courthouse in Columbus, and the Walter H. Rice Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse in Dayton will be asked to evidence their vaccination status upon entry. The Court will accept physical vaccination cards or a digital copy thereof.

Unvaccinated individuals and those who fail to evidence their vaccination status will be required to wear masks in all Court areas, unless exempted by a judicial officer.

All individuals, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear masks in public, common areas such as elevators, building entrances, and lobbies.

The Court continues to encourage the practice of social distancing and the use of videoconferencing to the maximum feasible extent.
