BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH
Judge Gregory L. Frost was born and raised in Newark, Ohio. He graduated from Wittenberg University in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He attended Ohio Northern University Law School and graduated in 1974 with a Juris Doctor degree. While at Ohio Northern Law School he was staff member and editor of the Ohio Northern Law Review.

Judge Frost was admitted to practice law in Ohio in 1974 and served as an Assistant Licking County Prosecutor for 4 ½ years. As an assistant prosecuting attorney he worked in the juvenile division, adult felony division, civil division, and appellate division. His experience as a prosecuting attorney included juvenile prosecutions, felony prosecutions, and murder trials. He represented the county school boards and township trustees. He prepared appellate briefs and argued cases on appeal to the Fifth District Court of Appeals. While serving as an assistant prosecuting attorney, Judge Frost also maintained a private practice. He was a partner in the law firm of Schaller, Frost, Hostetter & Campbell. As a private attorney, Judge Frost handled personal injury lawsuits, domestic relations matters, and small business issues.

Judge Frost was appointed and then elected to the Licking County Municipal Court in 1983. He served on the bench for seven years. Judge Frost was elected to the Licking County Common Pleas Court in 1990 and was re-elected in 1996 and 2002. He served as judge of that court for thirteen years. Judge Frost is admitted to practice in Ohio, South Carolina, Federal District Court, and the United States Supreme Court.

On March 19, 2003, Judge Gregory L. Frost was sworn in as Judge of The United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.  Judge Frost retired from the Court on May 2, 2016.
